I created a Pinterest account specifically for classroom inspiration and ideas. If you want to look at my boards, I've posted a widget link on my blog :).
In my opinion, Pinterest is ideal for getting ideas because of how it's organized. I've already used Pinterest in the past for gathering inspiration or reference for art projects, and it's very helpful to be able to separate ideas into different boards. Before making this new account, I had not tried to find teaching resources on Pinterest, so I was impressed by how helpful it was.
In the classroom, you could have a board dedicated to lesson plans. Then whenever you need ideas for a lesson, you can look through what you've already saved. You could even make separate boards for each subject to make looking for ideas easier. Pinterest posts also often include links, where you can visit websites with more information or resources or purchase specific supplies.
However, Pinterest is public and not specifically a teaching resource. Because of this, some lesson plans may be stolen and posted without the creator's permission. Or more recently, some resources may be AI-generated and could be unreliable. Because of this, I would not take resources directly from Pinterest, but instead use it to get ideas or to find links to more reliable pages.
